Sally goes to Ocean Reef

Hey, girls and guys out there, I've been working on uploading pics and haven't written under the pics so now I'm going to try to finish some of the posts and get them out there. It's the middle of April and we're still at Ocean Reef on Grand Bahama Island. We're loving it here...it's easy for people to come and visit us because of West Jet flying directly from Toronto to Freeport, 2 and 1/2 hours and you're here and sometimes the rates are good too. That all ends the end of April until Nov. 1. I hope West Jet flies to Freeport all of next year. Here I am on the dinghy in Grand Bahama Canal.

This group of pictures is when Sally was with us. She came back with us after our visit to Toronto at Christmas time. My feet on Port Lucaya Beach.

The kids on the beach found an alive Star Fish and this is the under side of it.

These guys are heading out to go para-sailing.

There alot.... alot of Canadians here. It is so great to see our flag flying along with the Bahamian Flag at a lot of the resorts.

Hey, this is Sal, enjoying a book on the boat, with my glasses on.

Here we have the Pool cat named Pool. She lives at Ester's Restaurant. This is one of the tables there that we play Bingo on. She is getting very friendly.

And this is Ester in her kitchen making us French Fries. Bingo, French Fries and Sands Beer. What a great combination for a Tuesday, Thursday or Friday afternoon.

The three of us, Anthony, Bohdan and me in the background making music at Bohdan's friends' condo. Angelo and Nick were staying here at Ocean Reef Yacht Club and Resort.

Angelo enjoying the music.

And it's Sally and Me.

Bohdan, Angelo, Anthony and Sally. What a crew!

The beaches are beautiful and sometimes we're the only people on them. It's like having our own private beachs.

This is the canal where you come in from the ocean to Ocean Reef Yacht Club. When the tide is low and the sandbars have drifted it can be tricky getting in and out. We have ploughed sand a couple of times going in and out. I love the colour of the water....it is just amazing.

I'm on the side of the canal here.

And it's Bingo time again. You can win Tshirts and small mickeys of Rum and it's free to play. It's really a lot of fun. Charles and Gerrelle run the Bingo....Great People.

Here we are raising the kayak on the main sail halyard to clean the bottom. It had been in the water since Dec. 4 and had grown quite a bit of green stuff on the bottom.

This is a Curly Tail....there are lots of them on the island.

We took Nick, Bohdan and Sally out for a sail on the Atlantic Ocean just off of Port Lucaya.

Here we are with our instruments all ready to go to Groupers to make music and have a Sing Along.
