Vero Beach to Lake Worth

I am still behind on our Sailingblog. Right now we are actually in Port Lucaya on the Grand Bahama Island and this Anthony walking down the beach near where our boat is. Life is great. We're on permanent vacation.

Isn't this a beautiful boat. A big Yacht on the waterway between Vero Beach and Lake Worth.

Sunset at Fort Lauderdale. We're on the ocean here.

The same sunset over Fort Lauderdale. We kept sailing after this point and went into Miami in the dark which is never a good plan so we went right back out of the canal into Miami and anchored on the ocean.

Just showing you the fenders we have for keeping us off the docks and sea walls when we tie up to them. We have two big orange fenders which are really handy on rough sea walls and for the walls on the locks.

Anthony installed a deck wash last summer which makes it cleaner on the foredeck when you're pulling up the anchor. You can wash off the muck and weeds on the chain and the anchor before it comes onto the deck. It's pressurized and uses the water that you're in.

Some little and big boats are left to the weather, this poor little unloved boat was sitting in one of the bays we sailed/motored through.

This was a tourist boat that took out people for a sail. It was a beaut.

Another bridge along the way.

And a cute little lighthouse.

Some of the private homes were absolutely huge and kind of over the top, ostentatious.

It was fun to see all the fishermen out especially on Saturday and Sundays.

Anthony is wearing his Tshirt that says, "Old Guys Rule" and so do Old Girls.

Here we're kayaking to shore to go grocery shopping. The kayak did really well with holding all the groceries we bought. We took a bus to the grocery store and back to the shore and then kayaked them back to the boat. It's an all day process. You never know what you're going to buy at the next place so usually you get more than you really need. It was fun shopping at different grocery stores along the way, and finding them.
