Brailling in the Bahamas again...volunteering at Beacon School...

One of the talking watches Janet brought with her.  She gave this one to Mrs. Semple at Beacon School.

Janet and Dee Dee watching a student at Beacon School Braille.  Dee Dee offered to drive me to Beacon School on the Thursday I volunteer and then she picks me up and takes me to Ruby Swiss and she stays at Ruby Swiss to help the people practice their Braille reading.  I wrote the print above the Braille so Dee Dee and Janet could read it.  It's a huge help to all of us.  Thanks to you, Janet and Dee Dee for all you generous time and caring.

After working with the two boys we glued costumes for Junior Junkanoo.  This is a pair of blue jeans, painted and then crepe paper glued on to them and now Janet is gluing gold circles on them for decoration.

This is the new Brailler donated to Brailling in the Bahamas by the Amherst Island Women's Institute, Janet Scott, Presbyterian Women's Association and David Pickering.  Thanks so much for your generosity.  Carolyn Wipf is now using this computer.

Dee Dee and a student are showing the shoes decorated for Junkanoo.

Thursday afternoon at Ruby Swiss with the adults that we work with.  This is Vanni in front of her computer Brailling her name, address and phone number and the alphabet.   Janet is at the end of the table reading with Leona.

This Brailler was donated by Appleyby College.  It was the one that Molly used.  These are Pastor Lornal's fingers Brailling.

These are Latika's fingers Brailling here.  This Brailler was donated by my friend Val and her friend Al.

Carolyn Wipf on the left and Vanni on the right and Pastor Lornal at the end of the table.

Here I am helping Latika with her Brailling.  She is sighted and comes with her mother Leona and friend Vanni as a helper.  She is very helpful and is doing a good job with her Braille.  Behind me is Shavargo.
