This is Hank and Ning Ning's dog, Elvis. Ning Ning's dogs are sooo cute.
This is a picture of Rudy Hannah, the head of the Educational and Learning Centre for People who are Blind in Freeport. I brought him a suitcase of materials for his Centre: 6 white canes, thanks to Deb Kimmet, Braille books and tapes, thanks to Ann at CNIB Kingston, slates and stylus', thanks to me, a Braille Atlas and a white cane and an abacus, thanks to Donna Winter and her son, tape recorders and blank tapes thanks to Lynn Watts. Thanks so very much to all of you who donated the materials. I hope I haven't forgot anyone. And thank you to Val Sheekey for the Perkins Brailler and thanks to Karen Armstrong for the text book on Eye Diseases.

Me on the beach.
A self-portrait of me on the beach.
Me and Brian Huber. Brian and Karen have a houseboat in George Town called Joy Bells. Doesn't Brian look like my cousin Dave Peters? He says I look just like his Aunt Gertie. I wonder if we're related????
Rosie and Claus on their dinghy going out to their boat. Great people...really enjoy them...they used to live in Owen Sound...have been cruising for 15 years now. Amazing cooks.
Deb Houston was here for 2 weeks. It was great. Deb and I kayaking.
A very ugly Turkey Vulture on the wall of the canal.

Anthony playing Tennis. We try to play tennis every other day. It's good exercise and lots of fun.
And then there is BINGO every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 2:30. Charles runs it and we love it...you get to win T-shirts, pens and sometimes rum.
Deb in Port Lucaya.
Another one of Deb.
Anthony and I at Zorbas in Port Lucaya.
It's very strange to see Christmas Lights and Palm Trees in the same place. It seems very confusing.
Island Seas Beach at night. Deb and I biked down one night to walk along the beach under the moonlight...it was beautiful.
Shadows of the palm trees on the wall at Ocean Reef.
A trip to Garden of the Groves, this is a statue at the meditation pond.

Monday Night Madness at Grouper's Grill. These are a bunch of the cruisers partying at the Bahamian Party. We get to have peas and rice, chicken, corn, conch fritters, mac and cheese and Bahama Mamas every Monday night.
Diane and me. Diane and Hank are here on their beautiful catamaran, Adanac, Canada backwards. They are from Ontario too.

Claus and me.
We borrowed Doris Hamilton's van and went to Garden of the Groves. This is Deb in the car. The driver's seat is on the right hand side of the car and Anthony is driving on the left-hand side of the road. It takes concentration to remember not to drive on the right. There are a lot of Roundabouts too.
This is the big canal that cuts Grand Bahama Island in half.
We went to the caves and Lucayan National Park. This is the spiral staircase that goes down into one of the caves. It's a great place to visit.
Deb reading on Gold Rock Beach. This is the beach where they filmed Pirates of the Caribbean I.
These little flocks of shore birds are all around looking for ...something to eat...things, creatures in the sand.
Great patterns made by the water and the white sand and the sun.

Right now I am looking after his boat and selling Tshirts, tanks, windbreakers, hoodies and long sleeve shirts with BASRA crests on them.
